Interview with “the author” for August. Hey that’s me!!

I’m sure there will be a time when I don’t feel like I’m an imposter when someone refers to me as “the author”. But, even if I never get used to it - I’m really enjoying playing the role.

A little more than a week ago I participated in a live book discussion with Maryann, the host of the Once Upon a Time Book Club. My novel, Out of Time was their selection for August.

The discussion ranged from questions about the story itself, to the themes of book and about my writing process. I particularly enjoyed hearing from readers about what aspects of my book resonated with them and hearing their perspectives on having and finding your soulmate.

I’m very grateful that several friends and family joined into the live discussion. Having you there was the virtual equivalent of that encouraging face in the crowd when you give a talk. Although I cringe watching myself talk, in the moment, I was oblivious to my quirks and stumbles over my words and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
